I'm running Veritas (v.8.50 Rev.3571) backup on an NT Server in a primarily NT environment. There is a nightly backup job that backs up various shared files and the Microsoft Exchange Directory and Microsoft Exchange Information Store for Exchange 5.5
At least once a week the backup will fail. It will always fail for either the Exchange Directory or Exchange Information Store. When it fails I review the logs and always see one of the following messages:
[ul]
[li]Access denied to directory.[/li]
[li]WARNING: "Information Store" is a corrupt file.
This file cannot verify.[/li]
[li]WARNING: "Directory" is a corrupt file.
This file cannot verify.[/li]
[/ul]
Has anyone experienced this before? What does this mean and how can it be fixed? Thanks.

Why make it simple and efficient when it can be complex and wonderful?
