Hello,

I know this is possible but, I just don't really know how to do it. It being creating an exchange account without an associated Domain account. I think this has to be done programtically. If anyone has some insight it would be appreciated.

Thanks

Stefan

I didn't think this was possible. An Exchange 2000 mailbox is 'just' an object to AD, that has to be associated with an account. The mailbox doesn't have an address without the AD mailbox enabled account.

But I'm often wrong!

You don't say why you need this mailbox. I wondered if you could create an account, give it a mailbox, and then hide the account from any Address Lists.

You'd hide the account in ADUC with Advanced Features (View - Advanced Features). Then when you look at the Account properties, you'll get an 'Exchange Advanced' tab. Hide the account from there.
