Exchange 5.5 running slow

I've been getting alot of complaints from my clients that there's a delay in receiving and sending email. It also slowed down the DSL line. What could it be?

Are there any complains about slow login, slow Outlook, etc?

How they are experience the slownes? What is happening when they click on send/receive emai?
Is this happening for all users or just a few?
