My exchange box's memory usage is very high; it's a new server in the site and has only 40 accounts for testing. Exchange is 5.5 sp4 and NT is win2k sp2. I have noticed following error in event log: event id: 1016 "...buffer created for the “MS ExchangeDS” service in the “E:\exchsrvr\bin\perfdsa.dll” library is not aligned on an 8byte boundary. This may cause problems for applications that are trying to read the performance data buffer. Contact the manufacturer of this library or service to have this problem corrected or to get a new version of this library."
Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

I'm getting this same error (on c:\exchsrvr\bin\perfdsa.dll” library is not aligned on an 8 byte boundary. This may cause problems for applications that are trying to read the performance data buffer. Contact the manufacturer of this library or service to have this problem corrected or to get a new version of this library.") Same Event log number etc. My Exchange 5.5 (SP4) server was migrated from an NT4 BDC to a Win2K member server a couple of weeks ago. There are often long hangs for the 30 users of this machine when switching folders in their Outlook client views, or when launching Outlook. I don't know if the hangs are related, but any light shed on this topic to allow me to resolve this and determine if there is a relationship to the hangs would be appreciated.
