Exchange 5.5 edb after migration

Hi,

After you move(copy??)all your mailboxes from 5.5 to 2003, will the old edb (from 5.5) contain any of the mailboxes or is it going to be just an empty database?

In essence is it a move or a copy?

Thanks for the reply.

The posting seems to imply that data will be removed from the 5.5 edb(as a decrease in size after an offline defrag would imply this).

Is that assumption correct?

As far as I am aware that is correct. But remember to keep the old server online till all your clients have pened Outlook and recongiured themselves to the new server (Should happen automaticallty)
