Exchange 5.5 DS issue.

Hello all,

We are still running on exchange 5.5. Yesterday we had a SAN issue and the IS shutdown. Today we noticed that they are some errors on the DS. The DS could not back up and the online defrag stops in the middle. When we run DS update from teh exchange server we get the error:

Do we need to restore the DS? If yes, are there any implications if it's restored on the same server? The IS is working fine.

error -510 is JET_errLogWriteFail (Failure writing to log file) Check your ntfs permissions and make sure the service account for your backup application has permissions to the log file directory. I am guessing it is failing when it tries to create the .pat failes during backup.
