Can anyone tell me if it’s at all possible to have an exchange server create multiple copies of a message, each with a different time stamp? What has happened is a former consultant has sent 572 messages to our mail server over a 3 day period, when contacted by his Sysadmin, he claims that he only sent the message once, and it MUST be that my mail server is mis-configed. My exchange log shows each accepted connection as having different timestamps, which leads me to believe he's full of it. But I thought I check into it before I jump to conclusions. Any one ever seen anything like that sort of behavior?

It's certainly possible that it's not him, and it's not your server, but it is something else, such as his company's server or some other intermediate device. Sounds like it may be a pain in the neck to track down, so good luck!

Thanks, all I cared about was if it was me or not. He's been blocked at the firewall anyway.
