Exchange 5.5 Co-Existence in 2003 AD

I have been getting mixed answers on this one.

I am migrating my current NT 4.0 Domain and Exchange 5.5 running on NT 4.0 servers to 2003 Server AD. I will be upgrading the domain controllers to 2003 AD first. Will my exchange 5.5 servers running NT 4.0 server co-exist with 2003 AD? I am also planning to use ADC for the user accounts.
