Hi all,

We are concidering installing an Exchange server and have come accross a small problem that i'm sure one of you can sort in seconds.

We currently have a 2003 domain in which we want the Exchange server to be located and AD intergrated, we also have a second NT4 domain that can see the 2k3 domain but not the other way around. What is the best way to create mail boxes for the users in the NT4 domain, can the users still be imported from NT4 or will i need to create them manually.
There is no trust between the two domains.

Thanks.

Hi,

There are multiple solutions. What do you plan to do with the NT4 domain in the future?

Eventually the NT4 domain will be joined with the AD domain as a seperate OU, but not for a few months.

I found this word document on Microsoft's web site VERY helpful when working with ES2003 in a 2K/NT network. It has great info on what you can and cannot do with NT and 2K/2K3 on the same network:
