Due to a re-org we have to remove our edge servers. We currently have edge, hub/client access and mailbox servers. Does anyone know the procedure to remove the edge server and configure the hub server to send/receive mail?

thanks

There isn't too much to tearing an Edge out. Just remove the subscription from the HT and it's gone.
The HT already has a receive connector which isn't likely to be allowing anonymous so in order to go directly from the Internet to the HT you'll have to tick that one box.

Anything else you need on this? Not sure how deep you need us to go.

And redirect your inbound port 25 traffic.

Yeah, that whole redirection of TCP25 is probably a good plan. Yeah, you could do that :)

Just for clarification, here's the order you'll want to follow:
1. Update the receive connector to accept anonymous mail on the HT (it's on the Permission Groups tab of the Receive Connector's properties).
2. Redirect port 25 traffic to the HT.
3. Remove the Edge subscription from the HT.
