Exchange 2003 user names

I'm learning Exchange 2003 (migrated from Groupwise) and I ahve a question about user names in the global addressbook.

I currently have a user who'd like to change their name in the gloabl addressbook to a nickname rather then their leagl name. I've gone into AD asnd changed their display name but the changes are not coming over to Exchange.

Is there wait period before Exchange gets updated and if so is there a way for me to expedite the process?

goin into exchange manger recipient udate server right click and run update, on e other thing if your client are running in cache copy mode they may not see the changes unless you run a scripot to clear the cached address book or remove cache copy mode save th echanges and then readd back cached copy mode after the client has syned
