Hi all,

I hope that someone can shed some light on this problem I'm having as I've spent a couple days no scouring the MS KB and such and haven't got a complete resolution to my problem.

The problem was originally caused by the server running out of room on the hard drive array that exchange was using, we've since changed the path of that mailbox store to a drive with much more room. Currently the public folder mounts fine but when trying to mount the mailbox store I get the error (C1041724). Here is a list of things that I've already done / checked so that we're all on the same page

- moved priv1.edb to new drive
- confirmed permissions to folder as per KB
- ran eseutil /mh and the database is in clean shutdown and "log required" is 0-0 (i.e. no need for logs to start)
- i've deleted/backedup everything in at ~\mdbdata\... excluding the .edb and .stm files
- i've restarted the MSexchangeIS service and whole server more times than I can count
- I can unmount and mount the public with no problems at all
- I've prayed to the exchange gods but they aren't answering my calls :p

So i'm not sure what else I can do but any help would really be appreciated

yes been through that - no dice.

Quest's Aelita recovery manager.

Unless you have the logs somewhere on a volume that didn't get full and can restore from backup (last successful one) with the store unmounted which will then mount and play forward the logs to date.

Zelandakh - maybe you didn't understand the situation. I'm not restoring from a backup because there is nothing wrong with the database and as far as I can tell it doesn't even need the log files to start (state is "Clean Shutdown" log required 0-0)

So i'm not understanding why (or how) i would go about replaying the log files - which i do have a backup of [log files] from when the problem started.

Could you clarify?
