I am running SBS 2003, and when you configure sbs it becomes server.local, I need exchange to be domain.com not domain.local. SBS can only be a root server, so where can I change smtpp to be @domain.com ?

I have encountered this problem and finally solved it. It's not an easy solution (ARGH).

You can handle this in one of two ways. Either reinstall AD with a domain namespace of company.com instead of company.local, or change your default recipient policy to reflect only your company.com domain where you want e-mail sent.

I have created detailed documentation on this subject, but I don't think I can attach it here

Thanks for the info I will probally reinstall and take off the .local and make it .com
