Hello Everyone,

I am in the process of setting up a new exchange 2003 server for my company. there exists in one of our branches a postfix server that is currently hosting the companies email accounts. So essentially there would be email accounts on both servers (temporarily)

what i would like to do is this:

1. change the mx records to point to my exchange server (instead of the postfix server) so all email to the company comes first to my exchange server

2. if the email account is not hosted on the exchange server, is there a way to get my exchange server instead of sending an NDR, to forward that email to the other server?

I really appreciate any help with this
thanks
scott

Scott,
Open Exchange System Manager
Admingroups->Servers->(nameServer)->Protocols->SMTP-> DefaultSMTP Virtual server

Then select properties of the DefaultSMTP Virtual server
(right click->properties)
Select messages tab
Add your old host to the box [Forward all mail with unresolved recipients to host]
OK
Tom
