Greetings,

I need to have my exchange 2003 (active sync)to work with my iPhone users. Currently everything is enabled but unable to connect using the phone. I have created a virtual directory under IIS, enabled oma but still nothing. Has anyone got it to work?

Thank you,

Theo

If you have OWA enabled and a web certificate installed
your owa address will be something like set the server to your IPhone mail settings to <servername> without the other parts of the address
the rest of the logon credentials are the same as for a local logon

Thank you Frank. Currently we are not using any SSL certificates. We access our webmail using http and not https. I know it's not the smarter solution but we have a business reason no to use https. Can this still work? Also imap or pop needs to be active?

Thank you again

Theo

I have never tried it but as far as I know it should work, the iPhone uses SSL by default, it can be turned off but you would need a FQDN in the mail server setting,

Our Mail systems use Blackberry, iPhone and mail enabled phones, I find the iPhone much easier to set up, it just takes a bit of trial and error to get the first one working, these are the settings I use;

In Mail contacts and calendars on the iPhone;
Mail/account info

Email: frank@domain.com
Server; mail.domain.com
domain; domain.local
username; frank
password; *******

Description; Domain Mail

Use SSL...on
