Exchange 2000 setup

When I go to install Exchange 2000 on a Windows 2000 Server I get the following error. I tried a reinstall and still no difference.

Setup failed while Stopping the service 'MSFTPSVC'. (error 0xC007041D: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

Any ideas.

Have you tried to stop this service manually and then install Exchange?

I have tried stopping the service, but the error appears again only it may have iisadmin or w3svc. As soon as I stop the service a new one causes the error.

Hi!
Try to uninstall IIS services (if you have websites or ftp sites do not forget to back them up)
Reboot and reinstall them (do not forget NNTP and SMTP).
Try the installation again (of course you should have the latest SP4 for W2K)
