Using Brightore Enterprise backup SP4 - restoring Exchange 2000 information store to another server. Both servers setup exactly the same. Exchange organizations exactly the same. Gives error "failed to write to database. EC=Backup Agent Error (27) "Invalid Character in File".
It does restore some of the databse but does not finish (never failes on same amount of data restored). Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Antionette

Hi Antionette,

The Error Invalid Character in File EC=27, can be due to a Hardware Error.

Check for the Tape Compatibility. Are the Tape drives in the Source and Destination the same? If not, check the compatibility of Tapes, and make sure that the Tape you use is completely compatible with the Tape Drive you are using and is formatted using the supported specification. Also check for compression details.

Cheers
