First of all, let me start my message by saying that my exchange server has an open relay problem. Whenever, I try to secure it, not only the junk messages get chopped, but also the legit messages (most of the messages are from our customers) which is not a good think. I am not sure where I failed made a mistake, but it is obviously didn't work and I ended up putting back old settings. What I did was, I went to SMTP server properties and unchecked the box for "allow messages to be relayed to this domain". In that box, I had listed our company's domain name. This might sound silly since you will never get any emails to your domain, but you are not allowing them to be relayed, but believe me, it was listed on to the Microsoft website and thats how I did that.

Any suggestions as to what might have gone wrong?

Thanks...
