Exchange 2000/Outlook 2000 issues.

We have an Outlook 2000-client based infrastructure and an Exchange 2000 server.

Several clients are experiencing odd issues with Outlook 2000.

Client 1: only sees new mail when she manually does a send or receive, or clicks on a different mailbox folder, "refreshing it"

Client 2: gets an unknown error on send and receive, but mail still goes through. "Task Microsoft Exchange Server" reported error 0x80040600: Unknown error"

Client 3: multiple system tray icons.

Already did detect and repair on all 3 machines to no avail.

Since everything is on the exchange server the only thing I can suggest would be to wipe out outlook (or the whole office suite altogether) and re install. This way you can take out the client as being the problem.

Reinstalled the client, and still have the problem. Any ideas what we can do to clean up the server?

Try clearing out the deleted items folder.
