Has anyone tried downloading/installing Arcserve exchange agent through installing ArcServe SP3?

I have ArcServe 2000 WG/AE Version 7.0 (Bild 1086). Just upgraded our Exchange 5.5 to 2000 (on the new hardware). When trying to use the agent from the arcserver CD, I kept getting "failed to read from database errors" on the backup.

According to several threads on this forum, this is a versioning problem. Tried to use the following solution:

The problems you have is a USER problem. I think you are not installing the agent from the proper CD.

Follow the following steps,

1)Uninstall the arcserve backup agent for MS Exchnage on the exchnage server

2)Download Sp3 from the URL given below,

3) Use winzip and Extract Sp3 .
4) After its extracted you will have a folder called Exchnage.DBA
5) Use setup under the exchange.DBA folder and install the agent
6) Then apply sp4 for exchange agent

I cannot seem to be able to install the patch. When using cazipxp through command prompt I get an error reading the target file. When I clicked on the resulting SP3.exe file, it tells me that the file is corrupted. I've tried downloading and unzipping it multiple times.

Has anyone had similar issues? How else can I obtain exchange 2000 agent?

Hi

I am having the exact same problems. Just upgraded to Exchange 2000, installed the Backup Agent for Exchange as requested by ca, then applied SP4. Now it seems I can see all Exchange 2000 items at the Brick Level, but when selecting the database level, there is nothing to display. In fact when running backups at brick level, I am now getting E8604 errors. Attempted steps as indicated for version touble, but when I download the patch and unzip it, there is no DBA.Exchange folder. Any idea's would be appreciated.
