Exchange 200 to exchange 2003 new hardware

Hi all,

I have to upgrade a Exc 2000 native on AD 2000 native to a new hardware with Exc 2003. Later on about 6 months time I will upgrade my Domain to 2003. To minimise changes can i NOT rund the adprep stuff now, but later with the AD upgrade? what would be the pros and cons of one or another?

Pro: Saves you 5 minutes during the install.
Con: Exchange won't work.

You have to expand the schema to get Exchange 2003 to install. I think you are confusing setup /adprep in Exchange with the Windows one.

Thanks, I think I am confused, looking at the link below(Part I steps 1 to 6, which steps do i MUST to do just for the exchange to work and leave the rest for the domain upgrade later?
