Excessive CPU Load on Imail 8.0

I work for a webhost that maintains 25 separate installations of Imail Server running the latest version (8.05?). Each server contains approximately 1,000 separate domains, with no set limit on the user inboxs. When we were using v7.15, we had major problems with emails getting stuck in queue. This was resolved when upgrading to the 8.0 series, however the trade off was that we now have major problems with CPU load. Typically, the CPU runs at about 100% during what I would call a 'normal' load. CPU is split b/t Queue Manager, SMTP, and occasionally the Web Messaging processes.

Any suggestions on how to ease my troubled CPU?

We have been having the same problem and it is driving us nuts.

I have applied all the patches and hotfixes to no avail. We even increased RAM on the machine for some help.

If anyone out there has resolved this... It would be appreciated to know how.
