Hi all,

When I try to test a connection pool I did recieve the following exception

weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourcePermissionsException: User "wlsadmin" does not have permission to perform operation "reserve" on resource "AbsEAMInvoiceNonXAConnectionPool" of application "null" of type "ConnectionPool" at weblogic.jdbc.common.internal.JDBCUtil.checkPermission(Lweblogic.security.acl.internal.AuthenticatedSubject;Lweblogic.security.acl.internal.AuthenticatedSubject;Lweblogic.security.service.AuthorizationManager;Ljava.lang.String;Ljava.lang.String;Ljava.lang.String;Ljava.lang.String;Lweblogic.security.spi.Resource;)V(JDBCUtil.java:186) at weblogic.jdbc.common.internal.ConnectionPool.reserve(Lweblogic.security.acl.internal.AuthenticatedSubject;IZ)Lweblogic.jdbc.common.internal.ConnectionEnv;(ConnectionPool.java:371) at weblogic.jdbc.common.internal.ConnectionPool.reserve(Lweblogic.security.acl.internal.AuthenticatedSubject;I)Lweblogic.jdbc.common.internal.ConnectionEnv;(ConnectionPool.java:359) at ...

As up for the initial research I found info from the below URL matches the scenario

I did also try to add a the same security policy defined for 'ALL' to the 'reserve' option too but still I'm getting the same exception.

Note: Even though I'm getting an exception as above the connection pool is fully functional as far as my observation goes.

Any pointers highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Gopiram

Hi all,

I've found the root cause. As communicated there was a policy defined with the connection pool that is associating the pool to users from a particular group.

The account which I was using previously was a default Administrator, now with that particular group too assigned to our default administrator everything works fine with no exceptions.

Note: A WL restart is required after adding that group to your default admin account

This seems to be Work as designed.

Regards,
Gopiram
