I have a Dell Latitude XPi that's giving me many error messages. I've been getting the blue screen of death constantly ( exception has occured in .vxd vmm ) and then sometimes when I boot, it says " Windows protection error. Please restart your computer ". I formatted the hard drive and reinstalled Windows 98 2nd Edition because I thought the registry was corrupted but it still gives me the error messages. Can someone help?

Does the error msg give a memory location? If so, whatch it. If it stays the same each time you get the blue screen, you probably have some bad memory. And now back to The Lord of the Rings

i am getting the same error message 'windows protection error please restart the computer'
i think it it to do with memmory because i did not get this error before i added more memmory to it a week ago.
