excel97 - importing large text file into several spreadsheets

I have a text file that, when loaded in word, is about 2000 pages. When opening this file in excel it will of course not load the whole file into one sheet.

How do I load the file into excel over multiple sheets so that I can then extract the data I need?

Hi,

Using the Open Text parsing feature, there is a

Start import at row:
[/tt]
Since there are 65536 rows, on subsequent sheets, select a start row that is a mulitple of 655536 (or something smaller)

I am using excel 97. I tried setting the sheet to import at row 65536 but it won't allow me to set this value to anything over 32767
