We have the following problem:
[ol]
[li]A workbook has been created with Excel2000. This workbook contains a reference to the [tt]MSComm[/tt] object.[/li]
[li]The workbook is saved.[/li]
[li]The workbook is opened in Excel97, without problems and can be worked on and saved and evrything is OK.[/li]
[li]The workbook is closed (it matters not if Excel97 is closed).[/li]
[li]Now: re-opening the workbook causes an error in Excel97[/li]
[/ol]
The workbook can, without errors, be opened in Excel2000 and saved, after which all is OK (until the Excel97 user closes the workbook).
This only happens with a workbook containing the [tt]MSComm[/tt] object.
Anyone got any clues, hints, suggestions, solutions?
Unfortunately, at present, moving all users to Excel2000 is not a possible option.
