Excel Toolbar - How to save customized? 1

Very annoying thing with Excel (2000)-

I had my toolbar customized with just those icons that were useful to me, for the past couple of years. Today, I clicked on something, (probably by mistake, and I can't remember what), and presto, my custom toolbar disappeared, and the one Microsoft thinks I should have took its place.

I couldn't find my version anymore, so I had to laboriously go through the customize menus to get back to something resembling the one I had.

Is there anyway to save my custom toolbar so this doesn't happen again?

Keep a copy of your Excel.xlb in another place.
It's the file in which menu/toolbar customisations are kept, unless you create your menu's/toolbars on the fly.
