Hi All.

I've created a worksheet with multiple checkbox objects (from the forms toolbar) which are all in the same column, and are linked to particular rows. These checkboxes control hiding/unhiding of rows, and chart creation/deletion, and it is critical that their placement relative to particular data on the sheet remain consistent.

My problem is that when I sort the worksheet, the checkboxes do not move consistently with the data. Some of them move, some of them don't. Is this simply a limitation of Excel, or is there some setting somewhere that will enable them to always sort with the data on the worksheet? Anyone ever encountered this issue?

Much thanks in advance!!

James.

James,

I prefer to NOT have sceen-teen controls on a sheet. Using Control Toolbox Controls, you can place ONE SET of controls on a sheet and position them and make them visible or not based on certain cell selections by the user -- like if the user selects a cell in column A, the control set is displayed relative to the selected cell. Once the control values are set and the execute event occurs, the control set Visible property is set to False. Any other cell selection sets the control set Visible property to False.

Hi Skip.

I totally agree. That's something I've learned during the course of this project. Unfortunately, I'm way too far down the road of using these form controls to turn back. I'll undoubtedly use the other approach on my next project, but this one has already been deployed, is well-liked in its current form, and a new feature has been requested which requires this sorting business. Is there any way to work through the sorting issue with the ill-advised approach I've already taken?

Thanks again!
