Hi,

Say I have a table of data that I am adding to all the time. I want to be able to list that data in, for example: number order of a certain column. ie: I need to be able to sort by any of the column headers. How would I do this?

Any help appreciated,

:)

Have you tried Data -> Filer -> Autofilter?

Simply click on the Data menu and choose Sort. Then choose the columns you wish to sort by and the sorting order.

Why make it simple and efficient when it can be complex and wonderful?

When you use the sort function, just make sure you've selected all columns that would be affected by sorting only 1 column. Otherwise, other related data on the same row will no get sorted. Spreadsheets don't automatically sort all columns with the selected sort like an Access table does.

Pete,

Do you want to write som VBA procedures? Can be done triggering from the Worksheet_SelectionChange event. BUT there are pitfalls and traps, so BEWARE! ;-)
