Hi everyone,
I have a list of grid references in a column in MS Excel in the form of two letters and then 4 numbers (i.e. SE4063).
I need to use a formula to select certain bits of this data(the first two letters and the 1st and 3rd numbers) which creates a grid square number (the result in this case would be SE46).
I know there is a way of doing this but my mind has gone blank.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
