Hi,

The verticle scroll bar is currently scrolling to the bottom of the worksheet(65,000+). There is nothing beyond row 2500 and I have the scroll area set to stop at that point.

I would like to reset the verticle scroll bar so that it is at the bottom of it's scroll at row 2500. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks much!

Hi Acquaman,

You must have either data or formatting in one or more cells below row 2500.

If you select rows 2501 through 65536 and delete them (the rows, not just the cell contents - use <Ctrl><->) - and reset the Scrollarea to an empty string - and then save the workbook, it should sort itself out.

Enjoy,
Tony

We want to help you; help us to do it by reading this: Before you ask a question.

In the immediate window (Ctrl-G) of VBE, type something like this:
? activesheet.usedrange.address
Then save the workbook, reopen it and you should have 2500 rows only

Hope This Helps, PH.

Thank you Tony and PHV,

PHV, the line returned the address in columns only like this: $A:$EE
It did not then resize the scroll bar. I will continue to experiment with simmilar code in the future.

When I formatted the columns I highlighted the column headder which caused the format to extend all the way to the bottom of the sheet.

Tony, your solution worked perfectly. I guess it removed the formatting below 2500 and as an added bonus made my entire file size smaller by three quaters of a megabite!

Thank you both very much.
Sincerely,
Acquaman
