Excel: Rounding down to nearest half no.

Hi,

I am trying to round a number down to the nearest half whole no.:

97.9 would become 97.5
97.6 97.5
97.5 97.5
97.4 97

Help would be appreciated,

Hi Andy,

Use FLOOR:

=FLOOR(A1,0.5)

assuming your number is in A1.
