When saving a .prn file, it truncates to the first 26 columns, the next n columns are then appended to the bottom of the file. I'm trying to export 36 columns and 4000 lines without losing my sanity!
Zot,
I am facing the same dilema for a user. With a looooooooong record, the .PRN is not the way to go if you want a non-delimited file with a fixed redocd length. I believe that you will have to resort to writing a string to a file for each record.
