Hi All

I have an access database which i am exporting data to excel from, within excel this data is on one tab and a front sheet uses formulas to display in suitable format the data which has been export.

my problem is that when i open the export has carried out successfully, but the front sheet which uses formulas to display this information is still showing the old data, if i double click in a cell then the new data is shown, like wise my chart is doing the same

is there anyway to refresh the data so that it show the newly imported information?? and refresh the chart data

Any help would be much apreciated!

Ali

check your calculation settings (tools>caluclation) - if it is set to manual then set to automatic

If that is not the issue, you may have numbers being transferred as text - if that is the case, you can use the "times 1 fix"

enter a 1 into any blank cell

copy it

select all the export data from access

Edit>Paste Special

choose Values & multiply

ok it et voila

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.
