I have an Excel worksheet that I have linked to an Access Query. Both the worksheet and the database reside on a network drive. The drive it is on is networked as the "F" drive on my computer, but the "G" drive on my bosses computer. Because our drives share a different letter, the worksheet will not update.

How can I alter the path from the worksheet to the database so that the drive letter doesn't matter.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

You can use the Universal Naming Convention UNC.

Ie. \\ServerName\Folder\File.mdb

No two nulls are the same

Where do I do that at? I can't find anyplace to change the path.

You will have to recreate the query but when you create the new query instead of selecting a drive to access the database type the UNC as above instead. Matt Smith
