OK, I am going to give this request a shot. I have machining operations which take a given amount of time...usually recorded in minutes. I can have multiple machining operations...usually up to 4. Is there any way that I can put a total number of parts that I want machined into Project/Excel so that the Ghantt chart will show the amount of machining time, based off of the amount of parts that I choose to build, given the preset durantion. Durantion in minutes * total number of parts = total number of minutes for lot of parts.
Previously I would complete this work before creating the project in Project. I would take my quantity needed and multipy by the machining time per piece. Works well as an Excel sheet. This works fine, but i have a project where being able to input (and possibly change/update) the quantities of parts, would be helpful. I don't want to run Excel as a separate operation and just reference the info. Cutting and pasting a column full of values would be helpful. ~350 lines, so i would rather not input manually. Quantities of parts required follows no typical pattern of any sort.
Sorry if this is difficult to understand. Thanks for any and all help.
