excel library problem

i install the office XP interops.

but i have problems using the excel object only, if i use the Word object i dont get any problems.

but when i try to acces any property of the excel object, i get an error that says:

An unhandled exception of type 'System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException' occurred in ExcelRead.exe

Additional information: Formato antiguo o tipo de biblioteca no válida (old format or library type not valid) .


why do i get an error only with excel and not with word, what can i do to fix it ?

the problem was because i was using the spanish version of the office, and the english version of the OS.
i had to add a line that change the culture info to US
