Is it possible to access an open but NOT YET SAVED spreadsheet from Access VBA?
The situation is that I receive via e-mail XL sheets that have data to be added to a new record in Access. I create the record in access, open the mail XL attachment, manually copy the data across from the cells and then save the XL attachment using the newly created access ref number. I can't figure out how to get access to link to the attachment sheet if it hasn't been saved yet so I can extract the data from it automatically.

Appreciate any help

Thanks
Georg

I believe that most POP mail applications save attachments to a temp directory on your c drive when you read them. You might be able to access this saved file location.
