Excel graph and VB6

I have 3 sheets in my workbook. I can use buttons to select the correct sheet but I want the user to input a coloumn number in a text box and have VB display a graph of the data in the column that has been chosen. Can anybody direct me in the right direction as I cannot get a graph to display even though I have read what seems like every tutorial on the 'net. I have my references in place, components are there etc.
Any help greatly received or directions to a tutorial for the seriously stupid.

So your graph will take the data from the selected column...
it seems you graph has data from only one column...
Do your graph in such a way that it takes data from a specific column (not from the data columns)... every time when the user enters the column number copy the data from that column into the specified column and refresh and open the graph sheet.... Hope I have understood your problem...
