Hello,

I have an Excel spreadsheet with numerous cells that have formulas in them. Not all, but most of them appear as text. I've searched a lot and tried everything I could find:
[ul]
[li]checking whether the cell format was text - it is not[/li]
[li]checking if the "show formulas" mode is activated - it is not[/li]
[li]there is an apostrophe before the formula - there is not[/li]
[/ul]
Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks

When you right-click on a cell and do: Format Cells..., in Number Tab, Category list - is "General" selected?

Have fun.

Thanks for the quick response Andrzejek, the format of the cell is "Number". Does it have to be "General"?

Set it to General, make sore there is no ' a the beginning of your formula.

When the format is "Number" and you re-enter the cell, what happens?
If no cell alignment set, no "Text" format in cell, enter any number. It should be right-aligned, if not, it's likely that you work with macro sheet.

Instead of apostrophe, check if there is a space before =

Thank you all for your answers. I have been able to fix the problem.

Could you share what you had wrong and how you fixed it?
It may be beneficial to others who may have the same problem...

Have fun.
