I've got the following data and would like to get the percentage based on the $ amount for the month. Can't average the %, due to the fact that the sales are paid per item... Here's a sample:

$45 at 0%
$37.98 at 27.36%
$1311.14 at 43.30%
$9360.00 at 99.19%

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks-
Laurie

What would you consider the correct answer, given your sample data?

SO # March Variable Cost Actual CM%
371900 $640.00 $394.88 38.30%
469500 $2,719.20 $1,093.12 59.80%

Q1 Sales $3,359.20
Q1 Quoted Margin 55.70%

Variable Cost:=(SUM(B2:B2)*(1-E2))
Quoted Margin:=-((SUM(D2:D3)/C6)-1)
