I swear that I remember being able to do a soft return while in a cell which would then increase the height of the cell, and let me type in text or numbers under the text that I already wrote, but while still in the same cell.

The command that I remember using was Shift+Enter. Now when I do that, Excel selects the cell above the one that I was just typing in.

If there is alternative way to do what I am doing, I would entertain that as well.

The overall idea is to be able to have a list of items within a cell that are not limited to the wrap text formatting option only.

Any help would be great.

Hope this is of use, Rob.[yoda]

Excellent at solving problems you are. (Yoda talk)

Thank you so much, sorry to have asked such a basic question. Continued banging on my keyboard might have actually given me the same solution.

Thanks again.
