Excel Find & Replace

Hi there

Having a little problem with excel

WE have the about 10,000 rows containg values in this format 006215586/001/

Now i want to remove all the /001/'s and put them elwsewhere on the worksheet

i can remove the /001/ by using a find and replace, using /*/

But it just removes the /001/ all together

i want o keep them and move them elsewhere on the worksheet

can someone please advise me on how this is done?

Check out the Data > Text to columns - DELIMITED, using / as a delimiter.

Insert an empty column to the right of this column.

-> Data > Text to Columns > Delimited
-> Next
-> your delimiter is "/". Type that in the Other box
-> Next
-> Format the first two imported columns as TEXT, choose "Do not import" for the third column
-> Finish

This strips away the slashes, but leaves the 001 in the adjacent column.
