I need to filter for the same values each month. I was wondering if there was a quick way to filter without having to select the values individually from a drop down menu.

The specific values I will be filtering for are loginIDs so they will remain constant over time.

Thanks!

Hi,

Turn on your macro recorder.

go thru the steps of selecting the criteria.

You can wether run this macro from the Tools > Macro > Macros menu, or add a Forms button on your sheet.

I've run into a bit of a snag. Although the IDs are constant, they don't always produce activity during the month and when they don't produce activity, they don't show up on the data file. So I'd like to run a macro but many of the IDs which will be relevant next month are not on this month's file so any macro I run will be incomplete.

If it helps, the specific logins I wili need to filter for are:
CC308IR, CC310KG, CC365VT and any login ID that starts with "CCDMA."

Is there a script that I can run under these parameters?

Figured it out. Thanks for giving me some direction SkipVought!

Best,
Michel

Also look at advanced filter with your login Ids in a criteria range.

That's what I ended up doing. I stumbled across the advanced filter while messing around with the spreadsheet.

I added four rows above the data and listed the loginIDs. It worked great!

What a handy tool!
