Hi,

I've got a spreadsheet containing information downloaded from a database.

One of the columns contains a reference number. ie "945" or "427" etc.

But there can be 200 or 300 hundred blank cells inbetween each one. I want to fill these blank cells to read the reference number, but obviousley want the number to change when it hits a cell that is already poplulated in the column.

I know I can do the drag down but with over 300 reference number over several thousands rows I wondered if there was a quick way around this.

Cheers
