I get the following error whenever I click on save icon after inserting columns in an old file.

Excel.exe
Exception: access violation (0xc0000005), Address: 0x30192d25

I have removed (also cleaned registry files) and reinstalled the office97 and its patches (spr1 and spr2) but couldn't get to resolve the problem.

If anyone of you have any idea how to fix this error then pleaseeee let me know.

Thank you

u probably have corruption.

if u wish u can send it to onedtent2@yahoo.com

Thanks for your respone onedtent but I am not having the problem with my documents as all of my documents are saved on the network and I am having this problem only when I am using my computer not when I am using anyother computer.

Now give me your suggestions on this issue. I know its bizarre :)

Two things to check....
are you running Norton 2002/2003...if so, disable the Office plugin in Norton
If not that, try setting your printer to somehting other than a network printer (I know....but humor me....)
