I have an Excel 2003 spreadsheet that has a dozen columns. Depending on the request the spreadsheet can be sorted logically by 4 columns.

When you click on Data, then Sort, the column header selected last is still listed. I would like to create a Page Header containing the words "Sorted by " and concatenate the fields referenced in Data->Sort giving "Sorted by Date", "Sorted by Project", etc. So the header will always reflect the way the data was last sorted. Can this be done without programming?

Thanks!

no. A workaround may be to write put buttons at the top of each of the sortable columns that runs a macro. The macro sorts the column, and modifies the page header to indicate the sorted column.

That's what I thought. Thanks for replying.
