How can you format a specific cell in Excel to always insert the current system date (and possibly time).

Thanks,
Texanite

Have you thought about using the =Now() formula?

Regards,

Ian

That's great but how come I put it in one spreadsheet and it gives me just the date and I put the same formula in another spreadsheet and it gives me the date and time?

Thanks,
Texanite

How are the cells formatted in the differing sheets?

If you only need the date what about =today() ? ( No formatting problems here)

arthurbr,
If one cell is formatted general, and the other date/time, you'll see two different displays with =Today() as well.
