Excel datasource issue

Is it possible to have Excel data source and use activex viever for display reports on web? I've done such a report, which displays the results on my browser, but when I hit 'refresh report data' it always asks me for a username and password. Which username and password are that? Where can I set them?

Go to Crystal Management console and select the report you are talking about by clicking on Objects and then the actual report that would be listed.Click on the report and it will take you to the properties of the report. One of the tabs in there would say database and it is there where you have to UNCHECK the checkbox that says "Prompt the user for new value(s) when viewing". Make sure you hit Update after you make these changes.

I cannot find this checkbox. I didn't mention that I use Crystal report v8.
