I have a chart with its data table displayed (approx 40 values) because the values are up to 15,000 you cannot read them when displayed normally, so I want to display the text vertically. Is this possible? there is no option in the Format Data Table dialog.

TIA

More info please.

Can you give an example of the table layout.

What type of chart have you created?

Where is the display unreadable, in the scales, or in data labels, or somewhere else?

Glenn.

You can change the axis orientation but it dosn't work when a data table is added.

How about factorising the values
and putting in a label "X 1000"?

Regards

Keith

Glenn,
Its the data in the data table that cannot be read, because the field widths are too narrow for the values. It is a line chart.

Keith,
Good suggestion I will factorise the values.

Thank you both,
Rich

You can factorise the display of numbers by changing their number format.

A custom number format of:
#,##0,;-#,##0,;0

will show numbers factored down by a thousand.
Add extra commas at the end of the number formats to change the factor by another thousand. Eg. this format:
#,##0,,;-#,##0,,;0
factors figures down by a factor of a million.

Cheers, Glenn.
